Summer Assignment

This summer I will be assisting in St. Bernard's parish in Tulsa - http://www.stbernardstulsa.org/ is the web address. They are the 3rd or 4th largest parish in the Tulsa Diocese with about 1400 families. The Pastor - Father Jewitt - was my first Pastor when I moved to Tulsa in 1982. At that time he was at St. Thomas More. I have always thought he was a good man & a good pastor, so I look forward to working with him.

I will also be speaking on behalf of the Life Awareness Retreat which is a discernment retreat for single men and women who might have an interest in becoming a priest, nun or other religious. Late in the summer I will be attending the national Priests for Life conference in New Jersey.

I will also be taking 2 philosophy courses through independent study, and selling my house and my "stuff" so it looks like it will be a busy summer.
